Shark Attacks We’re going to need a bigger boat to hold all our shark attack paranoia. Ever since a series of shark attacks on bathers occurred on the Jersey Shore in 1916, the idea of fanged maritime predators preying on innocent swimmers has plagued the American consciousness.
